Built with the added strength and precision of Infused Composite Construction™, the DVX20s is designed to fully embrace your time on the water. Whether you’re fishing, skiing, tubing, camping, or just hanging out with family and friends, this ‘whatever-the-day-brings’ machine is a total performance design. From the keel up, the 20s is crafted on the water-crushing DVX hull. The ride is incredibly smooth, and it’s coupled with responsive handling and a layout defined by fishability. Best of all, it’s wrapped in an easy-to-tow, ultra-stable platform the entire family can enjoy. The forked front, flared bow, and convex hull not only work to deliver a noticeably dry ride but provide an even larger front deck. Bow to stern, you won’t believe the room in this rig. There’s a world of rod, gear, cooler, and storage space throughout the layout not to mention wide-open seating for six. The skid-resistant, cockpit floor provides a soft touch while looking great, drying fast, wearing well, and making clean-up a breeze. Combined with additional side storage in the gunnels, easy battery access, and extra floor compartments, this design is built to keep what you need close at hand. Near the Firm-Set™ windshield, a removable cooler serves double duty as a step to the front deck. You’ll also notice a pair of pullout storage bins just below the consoles. The port side is on a retracting slide and is ideal for holding up to six, 3700-style tackle trays. The corresponding compartment under the helm can hold even more of these boxes. It also works well as a catch-all or litter caddy. Looking aft, a pair of plush, jump seats are equally spacious. Flipped down, they help extend the rear deck. When completely up, you’ll find another set of sealed compartments that can also be used as coolers. In between these convertible seats is a tournament-level livewell with clear view lids for easy culling and quick checks of the catch. Choosing a Boat
What kinds of activities are you interested in? This should be your guiding question when choosing a boat. If catching fish is on the agenda, you should seek out a fishing boat, with features such as rod holders and livewells. If you want to pursue the excitement of watersports, you should look for a boat with a powerful engine that can reach high speeds. Meanwhile, if you are looking to host parties on the water, a spacious luxury boat will serve you best.
That being said, there’s no need to limit yourself. There are some boats that can cover all your bases! Pontoon boats, for example, are incredibly versatile. Budgeting for a Boat
Of course, you can’t talk about buying a boat without discussing all the costs involved! The upfront cost of purchasing a boat can be pretty steep, but the long-term costs are even more important to consider. When budgeting for a boat, remember to account for all the expenses that are going to add up over time – such as fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
Generally speaking, it’s a good idea to set aside at least 10% of your boat’s total value each year for routine maintenance, and another 5% for any unexpected repairs. Meanwhile, you can expect to pay about 1.5% of the total value of your boat annually for insurance coverage.
