Built with the added strength and precision of Infused Composite Construction™, the DVX20s is designed to fully embrace your time on the water. Whether you’re fishing, skiing, tubing, camping, or just hanging out with family and friends, this ‘whatever-the-day-brings’ machine is a total performance design. From the keel up, the 20s is crafted on the water-crushing DVX hull. The ride is incredibly smooth, and it’s coupled with responsive handling and a layout defined by fishability. Best of all, it’s wrapped in an easy-to-tow, ultra-stable platform the entire family can enjoy. The forked front, flared bow, and convex hull not only work to deliver a noticeably dry ride but provide an even larger front deck. Bow to stern, you won’t believe the room in this rig. There’s a world of rod, gear, cooler, and storage space throughout the layout not to mention wide-open seating for six. The skid-resistant, cockpit floor provides a soft touch while looking great, drying fast, wearing well, and making clean-up a breeze. Combined with additional side storage in the gunnels, easy battery access, and extra floor compartments, this design is built to keep what you need close at hand. Near the Firm-Set™ windshield, a removable cooler serves double duty as a step to the front deck. You’ll also notice a pair of pullout storage bins just below the consoles. The port side is on a retracting slide and is ideal for holding up to six, 3700-style tackle trays. The corresponding compartment under the helm can hold even more of these boxes. It also works well as a catch-all or litter caddy. Looking aft, a pair of plush, jump seats are equally spacious. Flipped down, they help extend the rear deck. When completely up, you’ll find another set of sealed compartments that can also be used as coolers. In between these convertible seats is a tournament-level livewell with clear view lids for easy culling and quick checks of the catch. From the full-featured instrumentation and advanced electronics to the smooth, hydraulic steering, AirWave® seat bases, stainless steel hardware, removable ski tow, and peace of mind in our upright, level foam flotation, this is the DVX20s. For those incurably drawn to the water, we’ve made versatility-to-the-max, the catch-of-the-day! |
Front ForkForm and Function are natural partners. Our front fork design is purpose-built, creating more square footage for fishing where it counts while adding hull flare resulting in a drier ride. Don’t let tradition get in the way of comfort and catching more fish. |

Advanced Big Water Hull DesignLighter, faster, stronger, drier, and smoother, DVX hulls were made to Rule Rough Water™. These performance-enhanced designs not only include water-gripping strakes for more responsive handling and a far superior ride but also feature keel-forward engineering, reverse chines, convex hull contours, increased bow flare, secondary spray rails, and a lower center of gravity. It’s performance-proven confidence built for big fish and even bigger water. |

XL Tackle StorageThere’s no shortage of rod and gear storage in your favorite DVX model. Bow to stern, it’s a feature-packed design loaded with XL-sized compartments and wider lids for easy access. Rod boxes are equipped with larger, oval-entry, closed tip tubes and divider options. The front deck also includes retractable rod straps with integrated rod tip boots. Likewise, the cockpit is surrounded by storage. From the ambidextrous passenger rod system to the in-floor compartments, your DVX20s is built to make the most of your time on the water. |
Patented Intensive Care™ Livewell SystemSurrounding your fish with an even better environment than they came out of, our patented Intensive Care™ Livewell System is pioneering a whole new approach to conservation. With it, those last-dash, rough water runs have met their match. While every DVX well has a standard level of fill, when this design is topped off, a second, pressure-filled level virtually eliminates water slosh, delivering an incredibly smooth, secure ride for the fish – whatever the size of the waves and chop. The 50-inch rear well is also equipped with a storage tray, keeping fish weights, culling tags, and deflator needles right where you need them. |
Control Panel at SternAt the stern, our external charging station is designed for the ultimate in efficiency and convenience. |
Full Transom Backwash BarrierFrom rough water surprises to sudden stops, there’s no joy in water coming over the stern. It’s why your DVX is engineered with a Full Transom Barrier and no enclosed splash well. The Open Slope™ design sheds water quickly and works with the level attitude of our hulls to shield against accidental backwash. |

When you think about it, buying a boat is a little bit like getting married. After all, this is the commitment of a lifetime, and you want to feel confident you’re making the right decision! Fortunately, there are plenty of fish in the sea, and plenty of boats and pontoons to choose from here at Howell’s Marine Sales & Service. The following tips can help you narrow down the options and find your perfect match!
What kinds of activities are you interested in? This should be your guiding question when choosing a boat. If catching fish is on the agenda, you should seek out a fishing boat, with features such as rod holders and livewells. If you want to pursue the excitement of watersports, you should look for a boat with a powerful engine that can reach high speeds. Meanwhile, if you are looking to host parties on the water, a spacious luxury boat will serve you best.
That being said, there’s no need to limit yourself. There are some boats that can cover all your bases! Pontoon boats, for example, are incredibly versatile. We are passionate about pontoon boats here at Howell’s Marine Sales & Service, and we recommend them to our customers who want to get a little bit of everything out of their boating experience.
Of course, you can’t talk about buying a boat without discussing all the costs involved! The upfront cost of purchasing a boat can be pretty steep, but the long-term costs are even more important to consider. When budgeting for a boat, remember to account for all the expenses that are going to add up over time – such as fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
Generally speaking, it’s a good idea to set aside at least 10% of your boat’s total value each year for routine maintenance, and another 5% for any unexpected repairs. Meanwhile, you can expect to pay about 1.5% of the total value of your boat annually for insurance coverage.
If you have any questions about the boat buying process, you are always welcome to consult the sales team here at Howell’s Marine Sales & Service! We are always happy to assist. You can find us in Chatham, ON, near London.
