With huge front and rear decks, a wide-open cockpit, tons of rod and gear storage, seating for five, and a tour-level penchant for performance, the AVX1985s is a fish-focused getaway carefully crafted for the whole family. Whether you’re chasing elusive musky, trophy bass, or just relaxing with the kids during a weekend of watersports, this V2 aluminum rig is infused with confidence and unparalleled versatility. Bow to stern, it’s an ideal rig for multiple species. Built on a big water frame with an ultra-stable 96” beam, the 1985s is 19-feet, 8-inches of deep-forged muscle. The responsive, 200-rated hull carries a beam-forward design, Trac-tight™ handling, stretch-formed gunnels, weather-sealed compartments, and a host of fiberglass infused parts. The 40-gallon fuel capacity is positioned on the center line in the floor. It’s an advanced composition delivering impressive stability, more room, and responsive handling while also reinforcing our smooth, rough water ride. From launch to load, this is a sleek, gutsy machine with serious good looks and legendary attention to detail. Inside this all-out design, there’s a long list of features and advantages. The front deck is massive, and the bow station is equipped with your choice of trolling motor and electronics. The forward layout also includes a recessed trolling motor pedal, integrated Nav lights, remote switches, and cup and tool holders. Weather-sealed storage dominates the sprawling forward deck with the center rod and gear box measuring a full 9 feet. Beneath the center compartment another hatch provides easy access to the trolling motor batteries. It’s a setup geared for optimum trolling motor power and efficiency. The port box is engineered with an open boot and room for sticks up to 8 ½ feet in length. Another huge gear compartment balances the starboard side and includes a partition for quick arrangement of go-to tackle. The ultra-wide front deck is further equipped with retractable rod straps and a slot between both consoles and the gunnels. It’s a concept that makes it easy to keep an arsenal of longer rods close at hand. The cockpit of the 1985s is lined with a quick-drying, super-grip, cushioned floor that’s also available on the front and rear decks. It’s a layout that’s loaded with floor space, allowing quick, fluid movement throughout. At the helm, the dash is lined with speed, tach, fuel, trim, and water pressure instrumentation while also flush mounting up to 12-inch electronics. Just below the driver’s console, a fiberglass side panel houses master switch controls plus a 12-volt plug and USB port. Between the fiberglass consoles, another compartment is fitted with integrated tool holders while doubling as a step to the front deck. A large glovebox centers the passenger console and keeping with the spacious theme, there’s no shortage of leg room in this rig. Plus, both driver and forward passenger seats are on a slide and swivel base. Looking around the cockpit, cupholders and additional rod and gear storage abounds. Rear compartments are designed with compression locks, weather trim seals, and rapid water evacuation channels. It’s a system that helps keep contents safe and dry. Looking aft, a pair of custom jump seats are engineered for comfort while folding down to create even more rear deck space. In the hinge-up position, there’s access to both storage and insulated cooler space below. In between these seats is a fiberglass, tour-level livewell with gel-coated interior, filter screens, removable divider, and recirculating aeration. The rear deck also features more storage, a ski tow mount for the available ski pylon, and quick access to the crank battery, pumps, master switch, and breakers. Your choice of outboards is rigged to a six-inch setback and there’s plenty of room to mount shallow water anchors directly to the transom. Packed with more of what you’ve been looking for, the AVX1985s includes more storage, comfort, convenience, performance, and standard features. Even the matching tandem axle trailer is loaded with amenities like our Victor Shield™ ultra-resilient frame coating, disc brakes, a swing tongue, custom aluminum wheels, transom tie-downs, spare tire and wheel, and an available bow step. From unforgettable moments with family and friends to a world of guide trips and incredible triumphs on tour, this rig is more than a total performance design, it has leadership written all over it. |
Vexus® V2 TechnologyBy incorporating numerous design and manufacturing improvements, we’ve raised the bar in aluminum fishing boats—giving you more room, more strength, and more consistent performance on the water. From the computer-modeled lifting strakes to the integrated spray rails to the additional width at the bow, this next generation of Vexus® boats is ready to excel every time you back one down the ramp. |
All-Welded High-Performance Pad HullOur groundbreaking AVX high-performance pad hull enjoys a running surface with less drag, increased bow lift, and superior overall handling and performance. The manufacturing processes we use create a consistent running surface not found in other brands. |
Tournament Grade Fiberglass LivewellWhen money's on the line it's comforting to know that our livewell system is designed to keep the day's catch healthy and safe. We incorporate a valve system that makes changes easy, no more sticking your hand in cold water to drain the livewell. Additionally, the well is equipped with recirculating aeration, a pump-out system, and Splash Guard technology. |
Loaded with Standard FeaturesYou won't see us offering base-level equipment that keeps the starting price artificially low. As avid anglers ourselves, we package the boats like we would want them. You'll find our entire lineup has a stainless-steel propeller, stainless boarding ladder, smooth hydraulic steering, an onboard charger, retractable rod buckles, and a proven Minn Kota trolling motor built into the price. |
Stainless Pull-Up Tie CleatsStop breaking rods and tearing clothing. Our stainless-steel pull-up cleats stay out of the way until they're needed. |
Oversized Pedestal BasesOthers use a ¾” diameter base to hold the fishing seats in place. We believe in going a step farther. Our 1.77” diameter base is stronger and will last longer. |
Raised Lips, Compression Lid Locks, and Oversized Seals for Lid OpeningsOne key to providing drier storage is to help ensure the lid completely seals. We accomplish this by using a raised lip and compression lock that pulls the lid tight against the oversized rubber seal. Quickly evacuating the water is critical to keeping your gear dry. |
VECTOR FORCE™ TRANSOMOur Vector Force Transom is constructed of .125” aluminum and reinforced with 60% more material than the industry standard. The transom is the very foundation of the boat structure and at Vexus we're focused on ensuring anglers can outfit their rig with today's setback plates and shallow water anchors. Many others not only don't offer these options, but installing them actually voids the warranty. |
Hard Case™ Paint with Clearcoat ProtectionThis new-era, color armor is unrivaled; setting the highest standards for durability, shine, strength, and worry-free maintenance. Plus, it’s a hands-down winner in chemical, gas, scratch, impact, and even salt spray resistance tests. Bow to stern, this performance-proven process means your rig is built to turn heads on and off the water. |
Wood-Free DesignKnowing that your AVX doesn't rely on any type of wood reinforcement is more than comforting. It's Wood-Free Confidence that translates into worry-free outings. Now, you can leave the regret of corner-cutting composites and squeaky, rotten plywood far behind. |
Solid State Wiring and Lit Tip SwitchesThere's no room for cheap, snap locks and failure-prone fuses in our wiring harnesses. Instead, waterproof connectors and resettable breakers are coupled with our heavy gauge wiring for the ultimate in confidence and reliability. |
Available Ski TowFamily-focused and performance-driven, the AVX1985s is also available with a ski tow for added fun on the water. |
Port and Center Rod BoxesProtecting today's high-tech rod/reel combos is crucial. Our 8' 6" port and 9' center rod boxes offer a world of storage capacity for all your sticks. |
Stainless-Steel Boarding LadderA full-size ladder that doesn’t clutter up the back of your boat? Yep, this stainless-steel, retractable design stows out of the way when not in use. Deployed, it features wide, ultra-grip steps, helping make reentry a snap. |
High-Density Polyethylene FlooringUltra-durable, easy-to-clean, skid-resistant, and fast-drying… that’s the smooth, custom feel of our high-density polyethylene flooring. You’ll find it throughout the cockpit as standard, and it’s an available option on the front and back decks. It’s an incredible water-wicking material, helping quickly shed moisture while transforming your entire rig into the ultimate fish & play station. |
