Overview

GO ANYWHERE, ANY TIME

The available hard-top cabin option on the Hewescraft Sea Runner makes this super-versatile fishing machine an essential for extending your time on the water. This roomy all-welded cabin comes equipped with either a secure, lockable bulkhead door, or a fully removable rugged, zip-down curtain to keep you warm and dry during rough weather. Stay out while the bite is hot or get up on plane on the Sea Runner’s deep-v hull and power to your next fishing coordinates without getting a drop of rain or spray on you. When it’s time to pull into a calm harbor or a remote beach to camp for the night, the available sleeper seat option makes the Sea Runner even more essential.

Choose a removable rear drop-down fish curtain for wide open access to your fishing cockpit work/play area or choose the fully welded and lockable bulkhead door access for security at the dock and marina.  Either way, you have a weather-beating, lifetime-welded hard-side enclosure to go with your ocean-ready variable-deadrise Sea Runner hull.  What a combination.

The 190 Sea Runner Hard Top provides a compact enclosure that does not kill your fishing cockpit space aft of the cabin seating.  This drop-curtain equipped top still provides you with more than 30 square feet of fishing space.  The 210 Sea Runner Hard Top provides 37 square feet of fishing space and a longer cabin with room for sleeper seats inside and 50 square feet of roof storage for crab pots, kayaks, or an inflatable.

Keep fishing as the rain comes down, and soft-top boaters head home.  Park your Sea Runner Hard Top on a beach, swing open the largest walk-through bow access door in its class and set camp for an island hunt. The Sea Runner Hard Top takes the go-anywhere capability of the Sea Runner and adds the convenience and comfort you need so you can also get out on the water any time.

Your Guide to Buying a Used Boat

Boats

Embarking on the journey to purchase a used boat can be both thrilling and daunting. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or a beginner, selecting the right vessel involves careful consideration. Understanding key factors such as condition, type, and purpose will ensure you make an informed decision while looking for affordable used boats for sale.

Inspecting the Condition: Ensuring Smooth Sailing

When choosing a used boat, the condition is paramount. A thorough inspection can save future headaches and costs. Look for signs of wear and tear on the hull, check for water damage, and examine the engine's health. Particular attention should be paid to:

  • Hull Integrity: Any visible cracks or repairs can indicate past issues.
  • Engine Performance: Reliable power is crucial; test run if possible.
  • Deck and Interior Condition: Inspect for rot or mold in wood fixtures.

By reviewing these elements, you can protect your investment against future problems.

Boat Type: Match with Your Lifestyle

Different types of boats cater to various activities. Consider what you intend to do most with your boat—fishing, leisurely cruises, or water sports—and select accordingly. Opting for the right type ensures efficient performance:

  • Fishing Boats: Equipped with rod holders and ample storage space.
  • Pontoon Boats: Ideal for entertaining guests due to spacious decks.
  • Bowriders: Perfect for families who enjoy speed and maneuverability.

Matching the pre-owned boat type with intended use maximizes your enjoyment on the water.

Ensuring Value: Features Worth Considering

Buying a used boat offers unique opportunities to secure great value without breaking the bank. Ensure your pick includes features that enhance your boating experience:

  • Safety Equipment: Life jackets and fire extinguishers are essential.
  • Navigation Systems: GPS or sonar systems aid in safe travel.
  • Comfort Features: Seating capacity and cover options increase satisfaction during outings.

Prioritize features that align with your priorities for fun and safe adventures.
